Nature and the Bible: Learning About God Through His Creation
Does anyone else miss being outside and with people? This quarantine and coronavirus mess has me craving time outdoors. So without further adieu, our latest series is Nature and the Bible: Learning About God Through His Creation. If you are looking for a short but thought-provoking devotion, than this download is for you. Only seven days long, it is one of our shorter series of the year. Download below and enjoy!
Sample Devotion:
Day 3:
“It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
– Matthew 13:32
The mustard seed was the smallest of all agricultural seeds in Palestine. When we were in Israel we saw mustard plants everywhere. They grow to a height of 8-12 feet. Such a big plant growing from such a tiny seed!
Jesus came to this earth as a tiny baby. An innocent, helpless child. No one in that age could have known the impact a tiny little baby could make not only on the world, but on eternity.
It’s easy to underestimate what we do not understand, but our God is a great big God. He created the world from nothing, and He is stronger than whatever challenge we are walking through.
Application Question:
What small step can you take today to create big change?
