12 Practical Things to Include in Easter Baskets
Easter is almost here, so here is your reminder to ready your Easter baskets. If you are looking for something other than eggs and candy to give to the kiddos this year, then this list is for you. Below are 12 Practical Things to Include in Easter Baskets. Happy hunting!
(This list is geared toward toddlers, but some items can apply to older children as well. All photos are variations of Ronia’s Easter basket.)
1. Snack Cup
Snack cups come in all sorts of sizes and colors and would be a cute, but practical addition to your child’s Easter basket this year.
2. Easter Book
Books are always a good gift. I’ve held back a few of Ronia’s Easter books to add to her basket. If you have a little reader on your hands, then a new book might be more exciting to them then candy!
3. Water Shoes
Water shoes or shoes in general are a very practical item to add to an Easter basket. This is an especially thoughtful gift for kiddos who are growing like weeds and don’t stay in a size too long.
4. Sunglasses
Easter means Spring and Spring means more sun. A cute little pair of sunglasses would be a great addition to any Easter basket.
5. Bunny Pajamas
Bunny or Easter-themed pajamas are useful and adorable. We got Ronia a pair of pajamas from Burts Bees this year and they have colorful eggs all over them. One can never have too many cute jammies.
6. Activity Book
A coloring or activity book is another practical gift idea for Easter and would occupy your little one long after the Holiday is through.
7. Crayons
Can one have enough crayons? Adding a few unique ones or a small box of Crayola’s is a very practical idea and would go nicely with an activity book.
8. Easter Activity
Speaking of activities, Target has a plethora of different Easter activities that would fit nicely in a basket. Things like painting and sculpting. I highly recommend checking them out!
9. Bubbles
A small container of bubbles would be a cute addition to any basket and is another useful activity to keep your toddler entertained.
10. Fruit
It’s easy to eat a lot of candy on Easter in celebration, but if you are looking for a less sugar-packed treat for your kids, then why not try some fruit? It’s a good alternative that will look good in the basket and be a healthy choice for Easter or later that week.
11. Gift Cards
When in doubt, add a gift card. You could even put them in bigger eggs for the adults!
12. Bows
Ronia’s hair is finally getting long enough for tiny pigtails and bows. Unfortunately, those tiny bows are always getting misplaced, because, well…. they are tiny. Adding some cute bows to your daughter’s Easter basket is a practical, but welcomed gift.
