How to Create a Saint Patricks Day Sensory Table
St. Patricks Day is coming up this Friday, so I decided to make a themed sensory table for Ronia. Now I wanted to used items we had in our home. However, there are countless options for your own sensory table. I will be sure to share a few of those additional ideas below. Read How to Create a Saint Patricks Day Sensory Table below!
1. Hide a few Golden Coins
I thought it would be a fun game to try and find all the gold coins hidden in the “dirt.” My daughter loves a good search and find, so I hid these plastic gold coins in some crinkle paper.
2. Utilize the Colors of the Rainbow
My daughter is working on learning her colors, so I chose to make these wood shamrocks different colors that she can find and match. The pack came with three different sized shamrocks, so we could put the shamrocks in order by size or find ones that are similar in size, etc.
3. Fill the Bin with Lucky Charms
I elected to use corn in one of our sensory bins, but you could easily swap that for Lucky Charms. My daughter would eat all the marshmallows, so I decided to skip out on the sugar high. However, it is a cute idea that I would like to use another year.
4. Dye Dried Rice or Beans
Another cute base for a sensory table would be colorful rice or beans. I’m not entirely sure how you color rice or beans, so perhaps I will have to learn how to do so for other sensory activities. If you are feeling adventurous I would give it a go!
5. Create Shamrock Slime
Another cute idea is to create some shamrock slime or even green foam for your toddler. I was not feeling brave enough to try either activity this round, but they look so fun! Messy, but fun.
