Monsters Inc 1st Birthday Party Decorations
Ronia is in love with Monsters Incorporated, so we couldn’t deny her a monsters-themed 1st birthday. Sure, I had lots of plans for a more aesthetically pleasing theme. Something like Alice in Wonderland or Wild One. But, alas, my daughter loves Mike Wazowski. Below are the Monsters Inc 1st Birthday Party Decorations we chose for her this year. 1. ONE Sign
I found this cute banner from @AnyPartyDecor on Etsy, and could not help myself. I thought about hanging it on her high chai, but it was a little too big, so I put it on the mantle instead. It looked better there anyway.
2. Banner
Now that we have a fireplace, I am looking forward to hanging banners like this one for all holidays and events. When I was planning Ronia’s birthday I had to be honest with myself. Sure, if I tried hard I could make a similar banner, but the truth is I don’t have the time. And if I did I would be stressed out by the time party day arrived. I’m learning to give myself grace and let other talented people help.
3. Balloon Arch
So I definitely forgot to take pictures at Ronia’s party. The blurry shot on the right is a screen shot of a video we took right before quests arrived. I promised it looked super cute in person!
I’ve always wanted to do a proper balloon arch, so for Ronia’s birthday I decided to give it a try. A little more work than I realized, but nothing you can’t accomplish the night before. The trickiest part is hanging the arch, so be sure to think about how you are going to do that ahead of time.
4. Cupcake Toppers
Tiffani Beaston on Youtube gave me the idea to make simple cupcakes with cute little toppers. You don’t have to make your desserts look fancy when you have a cute topper! We ended up not using these, because the evening before her party I could not find them anywhere, so I frosted the cupcakes to the best of my ability. They turned out great, but the toppers would have been a lot less stress and work.
5. #1 Balloon
I’m not going to lie to you, 80% of the reason I wanted us to have a range hood is to put a birthday balloon or wreath on it. Is that silly? Perhaps. But I love how it looked.
