Small Changes to Make to Your Front Porch for Fall
The changing seasons mean more family gatherings, so I like to make my home a welcoming place. That starts with the front porch. Making a few adjustments to your front porch can really set the mood for the autumn season. If you are wondering where to get started, be sure to read below to discover the Small Changes to Make to Your Front Porch for Fall.
1. Get Some Fresh Florals
Would it be fall without mums? This year is my last year trying to keep mums alive. If they die again then I might just have to invest in some fake mums next year. Stay tuned to see how our adventure unfolds!
2. Change Your Wreath
A small change you can make to decorate your home for fall is switching your wreath. It’s amazing what a pretty wreath can do to transform your porch. It’s also a good way to indicate there you live when people are visiting. You can say, “We are the home with the green door and a big fall wreath.”
3. Add Some Pumpkins
Can you have too many pumpkins? Maybe. Cleaning up the squishy ones at the end of fall isn’t super fun, but if you want to carve or paint a few pumpkins for Halloween then you will have fun porch decor! Or you can just load up on a few fun looking pumpkins at the farmers market to adorn your steps.
4. Dust the Cobwebs… Or Not?
I’m a fan of a clean porch, because it feels more inviting, but maybe you don’t feel the same. Maybe you like the cobwebs for a spooky feel. Maybe you don’t like random people approaching your front door. Choose what feels best for you and go from there!
5. Switch the Doormat
The final item in our list of Small Changes to Make to Your Front Porch for Fall is to switch the doormat. You can find all sorts of reasonably priced doormats at Target. Or you could go a more personalized route and snag a cute one from Etsy! Remember, the front porch is the first glimpse of your home.
