Ways to Decorate Your Kid’s Playhouse for Fall
It might be a little extra to find Ways to Decorate Your Kid’s Playhouse for Fall, but I suppose I am that mom. Below are a few examples of decorations for the playhouse. I used simple things we already had in the decorations box and then added a couple extra touches. The other playhouse photos in this post are not my own, but might provide you additional inspiration. Happy decorating!

1. Add real (or fake) mums.
Depending on the location of your playhouse, you could add a few potted mums to decorate the outside of your playhouse. Ronia would tear them apart, so we opted for fake mums. However, adding a real plant to the playhouse decor would be an excellent opportunity to teach your little one how to care for a plant. If your kid(s) love to garden, then real mums could be the way to go!
2. Choose some real (or fake) pumpkins.
Like the mums, adding pumpkins will depend on the location of your playhouse and the trust-worthiness of the kiddos. Going to the pumpkin patch or grocery store to choose the pumpkins for the playhouse would be a fun fall activity! We opted for plastic pumpkins that were already in our decoration box, because I was worried real ones would rot out in the sun.
3. Try some fairy lights.
Ronia and I fond these fairy lights at Joann’s Fabrics on sale. They are such a cute and fun addition for her little house. You could hang lights on the inside or outside. Just be sure to check how durable they will be.
4. Get a little spooky.
We don’t really decorate for Halloween, but if you like to get a little spooky this time of year, you could choose to drape spider webs or bats on the sides of the playhouse. Or you could have ghosts on the outside, green lights instead of white… the options are endless!
5. Change the wreath.
The final and simple way to decorate your kid’s playhouse for fall is to change the wreath. Changing the wreath is so easy, but really can make an impact. You could even make a wreath with your kiddos or ask them to help you choose one at the store. Everything can be made into a family activity.
