Why it’s Important to Develop a Routine
When my husband and I met, he wasn’t an organization or routine type of guy. He lived his life spontaneously. Now, there’s a time for spontaneity, but there’s also a time for a little bit of structure. In the past few years my husband has come to realize just how helpful a routine can be. Read about Why it’s Important to Develop a Routine below!
1. Stress Management
Too much stress puts you at higher risk for heart disease and poor overall health. Developing a good routine can help you manage your stress more effectively. When you have a plan to manage the tasks in front of you, they seem less daunting.
2. Better Sleep
Everything gets better when you are getting proper sleep. I remember feeling so out of it when my daughter was a baby. Building a better sleep schedule can improve your mental clarity, energy, and emotional well-being.
3. More Success
According to a study published by the NCBI or National Center for Biotechnology Information, developing a routine can determine success throughout life. The most successful people in society, from musicians to entrepreneurs and politicians, have a specific routine they follow.
4. Improve Your Physical Health
Better physical health takes consistency, which means a good routine. You could choose a day every week to meal prep, therefore saving you time later in the week and helping your future self make better choices. You could develop a workout routine at home or at the gym. Maybe you could choose to walk for 20 minutes each morning. The more consistent you are over time the better.
